A good habit to start your day in a positive way is to recite affirmations that reflect self love and how you want your life to unfold. After reading Louise Hay’s book, You Can Heal Your Life, I found this daily practice to be life changing. She recommends expressing positive affirmations in front of a mirror in a private place. At first, I found it a little uncomfortable but soon realized that my day unfolded in such a wonderful way that I kept adding more and more affirmations.

I utilize Louise Hay’s I Can Do It® 2022 Calendar of 365 Daily Affirmations

and often tear off the pages that speak to me and tape them to the wall in my closet. I have set up a bench in there and make it part of my morning routine to recite them. My husband thought I was a little bonkers at first but after a while I caught him using my closet too. Now I have an entire wall of affirmations and am running out of room.

When we express self-love, it conquers many of our doubts, fears, and deep-rooted beliefs that hold us back from living to our true potential. It takes a little practice, but now I have them memorized and often repeat them throughout my day especially if I am having a rough one. A few of my fav affirmations that I recite out loud are “I love myself, I forgive myself, I am strong, I am capable, I am safe, I am healthy, I am wealthy, I am wise, I am loved, All of my family is divinely protected at all times.”

With all the negativity that surrounds us in our external environment, this is one quiet pleasure that I do for myself each day that not only brings my life much needed power and positivity, but also uplifts my family, friends, community and the entire planet.

Try it out for yourself and feel the power. Find affirmations here on Louise Hay’s site.
